PRACTICAL

The cost & programme advantages of our systems lie in their ability to be applied as thin film decorative surface treatments
creating a secondary, hard-wearing skin to the substrate.

It is therefore important to understand that they are not surface levelling products and will only follow the surface to which they are applied.


To achieve maximum visual impact on concrete, it should be a consideration of the client to ensure that the preceding concrete or making good contractor has carried out any surface readiness preparation before treatment.


This would include but is not limited to:-

  • Removal of mould oil, splinters, spacers and shuttering residue

  • Removal of concrete latency, dust, dirt and other surface contamination

  • Removal of snots and ridges

  • Smoothing / feathering out any steps between shutter lines

  • Bagging out any unwanted or excessive blow-holes

WARRANTY

All systems are warranted for a 10-year period from date of completion / handover of the finished areas.


The warranty excludes any mechanical / physical impact damage or underlying substrate issues / movement and is based on
end user maintenance as set out below.

MAINTENANCE & CARE

FOR ALL FINISHES

Depending on traffic it should be sufficient to dust the walls occasionally. The level of maintenance required
is to be determined by the end user based on building use, traffic and general environment as part of their planned and reactive maintenance programme or facilities manager’s scheduling.

Stains from liquids (ie: coffee) should be dabbed off immediately with clear water and a sponge. Do not rub
to avoid deepening the stain. After drying, more stubborn stains can be treated with a non-aggressive/ chemical/solvent free, mild soapy detergent, rinsed thoroughly with clean water and allowed to dry. Recommendation: start on less visible surfaces. To prevent damage, you should generally use acid-free products for cleaning.

FOR ENHANCE OR EXCLUSIVE FINISHES NOT TREATED WITH WAX OR SEALER

scuff marks can be easily removed with a dry abrasive pad.

FOR FINISHES TREATED WITH WAX OR SEALER

The surfaces can be cleaned with lukewarm water and a slightly damp microfibre cloth or sponge, do not apply strong pressure. Recommendation: start on less visible surfaces To prevent damage, you should generally use acid-free products for cleaning. If necessary, the surface can be re-waxed.

GENERAL STATEMENT

Following the expiry of the warranty period and assuming ongoing care and maintenance in line with recommendations set out above, it may not be necessary to re-apply or revive systems at all. There are numerous installations around Europe where product lifespan has exceeded 20 years with no recoat / revival needed. This is not an extra guarantee or warranty statement, but a fact based on numerous Frescolori case studies / installations in Europe and is all dependant on different areas of a building, their environment, their uses and traffic.
